KMP Mechanical (Kirk Miller Partners) was founded in February 2006 by Mark Miller and Dave Kirk after both worked for another industrial contractor and decided to branch out on their own. Together, Dave and Mark bring over 50 years of construction experience.
KMP is a support contractor serving industrial, commercial, and municipal clients throughout the mid-Atlantic region. We specialize in structural steel, process piping, millwright and rigging work, and plant outage work. Our clients depend on us to meet milestone commitments on time-sensitive projects, and we pride ourselves on supporting our client base whatever they request.
KMP employs approximately 25 skilled tradesmen organized into crews working under the supervision of foremen and project managers. Our mechanics & technicians include millwrights, riggers, welders, pipe fitters, fabricators, steel erectors, and specialty mechanics. We operate both in the field and at our shops to complete awarded projects.
Responsibilities
Perform work supporting KMP’s core scopes, including structural steel, process piping, millwright/rigging, and plant outage support
Work as part of a crew under the supervision of foremen and project managers
Support time-sensitive, milestone-driven work while maintaining safe execution and clear coordination on site
Follow KMP’s safety expectations including participation in regular safety meetings and job site audits
Protect client proprietary information and maintain professionalism on customer sites
Support shop and/or field execution as needed to complete awarded projects
Contribute to developing younger skilled workers through on-the-job support and training (as applicable)
Requirements
Proven ability in one or more of the following trades: millwright, rigger, welder, pipe fitter, fabricator, steel erector, specialty mechanic
Commitment to good safety practices and participation in KMP’s formal safety program
Willingness to complete OSHA training (provided for shop and field personnel)
Ability to work within a crew structure under foremen and project management
Willingness to participate in periodic drug screening (as part of maintaining a safe working environment)
Ability to support work across the mid-Atlantic region; travel available per customer request
